THE SPACEPARK:
ARGOTEC’S HEADQUARTERS
Argotec's headquarters, the SpacePark, is one of Europe's most advanced space factories. Covering more than 11,000 square meters, it has the capacity to manufacture more than 50 satellites per year. Beyond its industrial capabilities, the SpacePark serves not only as an international benchmark in the space industry, but also as a hub for experimentation, research and innovation.
Designed in 1978 by the esteemed architect Oscar Niemeyer, reworked with the Pritzker prize, the SpacePark is housed in a distinctive suspended ring-shaped structure in San Mauro Torinese.
This architectural marvel is organized around concentric crowns on a circular plan over three floors. Reflecting the shape of the nautilus, its design incorporates elements of the golden section and the Fibonacci sequence, which are evident in various parts of the building.
In revitalizing this masterpiece, Argotec remained true to Niemeyer’s original vision while implementing cutting-edge modernization efforts, resulting in a space factory equipped with state-of-the-art technology.
In addition, SpacePark proudly operates as a "Zero Land Use" facility, demonstrating Argotec's commitment to sustainability by reusing existing structures and minimizing environmental impact.
